Polytetraflon® Thermocontrol preparation

Optionally some designs of Polytetraflon® immersion heaters are available with a thermocontrol preparation.
In disturbances uncontrolled heaters are able to reach temperatures up to 800°C.
To ensure the operation of fluoropolymer coated immersion heaters, some of the Polytetraflon® immersion heaters are available with a thermocontrol preparation.
On one side, short underneath the weldingpoint at the PTFE head, the inner temperature of the heater can be measured by means of a thermocouple element (type -J- / Fe-CuNi). The monitored inner-temperature between heater and PFA-coating should be adjusted approx. 50°-80°C higher than the requested bath temperature.
At this the density, the specific thermal capacity and the temperature of the process fluid have to be considered.
When the inner temperature rises up over the defined limit value, e.g. in case of dry running operation, the control system switches of the immersion heater, since the disturbance is removed.  The functional efficiency of the immersion heaters is to prove immediately before any new starting up. When pre-switching suitable evaluation device several immersion heaters can be controlled with a programmable logic controller.
The controlling of the bath temperature has to be arranged with a separate controlling.
